This basepad increases magazine capacity in the Smith & Wesson M&P-22 pistol to 18 rounds. Please note that you must have the NicTaylor00 15+1 High Capacity magazine kit for this basepad to fit. It will NOT fit a magazine in the original factory configuration. This basepad ships with an EXTRA POWER MAGAZINE SPRING but will work with the 15+1 mag spring. You can get the compete 18+1 magazine kit HERE. These modifications are not permanent and easily install in minutes. This kit is NOT for the COMPACT M&P22. If you have the Compact pistol you can get the 16+1 basepad kit HERE

Please note you will not use the metal pin found in the factory follower. Most people use this pin to aid in loading the magazine. If you have the need for a load assist tool we have two options for you. The first uses the hole in the blue follower to push the follower down. You can find it HERE. The second works more like a traditional magazine loader and can be found HERE

PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER
We recommend using high velocity ammo for this kit. With so many rounds in the magazine, there is more pressure exerted on the bottom of the slide. This pressure is difficult to overcome as the slide attempts to cycle with the use of some low power ammo. Even with high velocity ammo, the slide may not lock back every time on the last shot fired.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

The following instructions assume you currently have the 15+1 mag kit (for M&P22) or 14+1 mag kit (for M&P22 COMPACT). This basepad only works with these kits and not a factory magazine.

1) Depress spring retainer in the bottom of the basepad and slide off factory basepad. You will not use the spring retainer or the factory basepad.

2) Compress spring into magazine body and slide on Basepad. Assure that the spring is in the pocket of the basepad and finger tighten set screw with the included wrench. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
