This magazine upgrade you will get additional rounds in the factory 10 and 12 round mags. These modifications are not permanent and easily install in minutes. This upgrade will increase your Smith & Wesson M&P 22 pistol magazine's capacity from the factory 10rd or 12rd magazines to 18 rounds. With one (1) in the chamber and 18 in the magazine, that's 19 rounds in the gun! The kit consists of magazine spring, Hi-Viz NicTaylor follower, black anodized aluminum basepad and hex wrench. This kit is NOT for the COMPACT M&P22. If you have the Compact pistol you can get the 16+1 Mag kit HERE

Please note you will not use the metal pin found in the factory follower. Most people use this pin to aid in loading the magazine. If you have the need for a load assist tool we have two options for you. The first uses the hole in the blue follower to push the follower down. You can find it HERE. The second works more like a traditional magazine loader and can be found HERE

We recommend using high velocity ammo for this kit. With so many rounds in the magazine, there is more pressure exerted on the bottom of the slide. This pressure is difficult to overcome as the slide attempts to cycle with the use of some low power ammo. Even with high velocity ammo, the slide may not lock back every time on the last shot fired.

I love these kits as much as I love the ones for my colt 1911 22s.  Great work.  Was wondering if you would ever consider putting them out in other colors.  I'm assuming that they are aluminum and if so, I'm going to try giving one a paint job.

Has everything ready for making an easy install on your magazine. Took my 10 rounds and made it an 18 rounds and because of the base pad also makes it easy to load into your gun. High quality too..

5 of 5 Works Great March 22, 2022

My M&P got a bit messed up in a house fire.  The mag floor plate was melted so I bought this kit.  It works perfect and the jump in capacity is nice too!

5 of 5 Creates a Better Balanced Pistol. August 2, 2021

Simple modification to the magazine that creates not only a significant increase to capacity, but with the heavier and thicker baseplate, also gives you a better grip and balance.

4 of 5 Smith & Wesson M&P22 Pistol Mag Upgrade February 8, 2021

These do a nice job of increasing capacity from 10 or 12 to 18 rounds, advertized.  17 rounds is more realistic, but still a nice bump.
