This magazine upgrade will get you additional rounds in the factory 10 and 12 round mags. These modifications are not permanent and easily install in minutes. This upgrade will increase your Smith & Wesson M&P 22 pistol magazine's capacity to 15 rounds. With one (1) in the chamber and 15 in the magazine, that's 16 rounds in the gun! Set of 5 upgrade kits. This kit is NOT for the COMPACT M&P22. If you have the COMPACT version click HERE

Please note you will not use the metal pin found in the factory follower. Most people use this pin to aid in loading the magazine. If you have the need for a load assist tool we have two options for you. The first uses the hole in the blue follower to push the follower down. You can find it HERE. The second works more like a traditional magazine loader and can be found HERE

PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER
Choose whether or not you want your pistol to lock open on the last shot fired. The original magazine kits were sold with the Shockbottle follower THAT DOES NOT lock the slide open on last shot fired. The NicTaylor follower DOES lock the slide open on last shot fired just like the factory magazine.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

1. Remove factory basepad by depressing the spring retainer tab located at the bottom of the basepad. While depressing the spring retainer, slide off the factory basepad. CAUTION! This magazine spring is under tension and can "spring out" of the magazine tube along with other magazine parts.

2. Remove the factory spring. Remove the load assist button on the side of the factory follower. At this point you will be able to remove the factory follower.

3. Insert the HiViz follower and the included magazine spring.

4. Compress the magazine spring and spring retainer into the magazine tube and slide on the Basepad. Take note of the orientation of the spring retainer so that the side with the single button lines up with the hole in the basepad. The spring retainer will settle itself into the hole in the Basepad and lock it into place.

Very easy upgrade. Works better than factory tubular spring and the follower moves freely. Adding the 3 additional rounds is nice for steel competition.

So easy to install. I was up and running in minutes. Definitely check out the how to video on the Taylor Tactical YouTube page if there are any questions that arise. It's very thorough, but also to the point.
