This magazine upgrade will get you additional rounds in the factory 10 round mags. This 14rd kit is for the M&P COMPACT and NOT the Full Size M&P22 Pistol. These modifications are not permanent and easily installs in minutes. This upgrade will increase your Smith & Wesson M&P 22 Compact pistol magazine's capacity from the factory 10 rounds to 14 rounds. With one (1) in the chamber and 14 in the clip, that's 15 rounds in the gun! This set of 5 upgrade kits allows you to convert five of your magazines.

Choose whether or not you want your pistol to lock open on the last shot fired. The original magazine kits were sold with the Shockbottle follower THAT DOES NOT lock the slide open on last shot fired. The NicTaylor follower DOES lock the slide open on last shot fired but not like the factory magazine.

Since the button on the factory magazine is removed when installing the high capacity parts, the function of locking the slide open on the last shot fired is lost. That button on the side of the factory magazine is used to actuate the slide lock feature on the gun. The NicTaylor follower is designed to catch the slide itself and thus lock the slide back/open. This technique is used frequently on AR15 22lr conversion kits. However, when doing this the user looses the ability to drop the mag free since the magazine is essentially being stopped from falling free when the mag release is pressed. The user will either have to pull the magazine out or pull the slide back to its most rearward position and manually engage the slide lock. This will allow for the magazine to drop free.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

1. Remove factory basepad by depressing the spring retainer tab located at the bottom of the basepad. While depressing the spring retainer, slide off the factory basepad. CAUTION! This magazine spring is under tension and can "spring out" of the magazine tube along with other magazine parts.

2. Remove the factory spring. Remove the load assist button on the side of the factory follower. At this point you will be able to remove the factory follower.

3. Insert the HiViz follower and the included magazine spring.

4. Compress the magazine spring and spring retainer into the magazine tube and slide on the Basepad. Take note of the orientation of the spring retainer so that the side with the single button lines up with the hole in the basepad. The spring retainer will settle itself into the hole in the Basepad and lock it into place.

5 of 5 Fast Shipping & a Great Add... April 10, 2020
Reviewer: Scott T from Saint Louis, MO United States
Great experience with the company, but will say I could only get 13 rounds in the Mags. Bought half a dozen of these, which seem to improve the feeding just want others to know that 13 rounds is all I was able to feed in the 6 Mags I changed springs in.

Updated... Have to admit that at first I could only place 13 rounds in the mag, but as I use them I am able to get that 14th round in the mag! Plus, the full spring increased reliability when running suppressed and with SS ammo! Great job on the design!!
