Fits GSG, Sig Sauer and Mauser 1911-22 pistols. With the HiCap +4 (Plus 4) follower you can turn your factory 10 round Mauser, GSG & Sig Sauer 1911 22lr magazines into a 14 Round Magazine. The shorter follower allows for more space in the magazine tube so that it will fit an additional four (4) rounds in the mag. Choose between the old style Orange or the New Enhanced Blue follower from NicTaylor that has improvements over the old orange style.

The engagement tab for the slide lock has been increased to help with fully engaging the slide lock. Additionally the rear pin on the follower has been redesigned to help reduce follower tilt and give more reliable feeding. If you have had issues with the orange +4 followers in the past, you need to try this new enhanced follower.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Remove factory basepad and retainer plate.

2) Remove magazine spring and slide factory follower down to base of magazine so that the load assist pin can be removed from the follower. NOTE: YOU WILL NOT USE THE METAL PIN WITH THE BLUE FOLLOWER

3) Remove factory follower.

4) Insert HiCap follower into the magazine body.

5) Insert magazine spring into magazine body.

6) Compress spring with retainer plate into magazine body and slide on the basepad.

The +4 followers work good, not great in my GSG magazines with the extended mag spring.  In my Marvel Precession Unit 1 upper, reliability is only about 90% and thats when only loading 10 rounds. Adding any more than 10 rounds and the reliability goes down exponentially.  What I like about the BLUE followers is the beefier mag catch which locks the slide back on the last round 100% of the time. The OEM followers have around 50% reliability to do so. However, the 10 round OEM followers make my pistol 100% reliable. I do wish Mr. Taylor made blue followers but clone the OEM 10 rounders, that would be the best of both worlds, 100% reliability in function and last round lock back.
