The GSG FireFly High Capacity Magazine Upgrade converts your factory 10 round magazine to a 16 round magazine! With a round in the chamber and 16 in the mag, that's 17 rounds in gun! The High Capacity Magazine Upgrade replaces the factory plastic basepad and factory follower with an aluminum basepad and High Capacity Follower. The basepad is also longer than the factory plastic basepad and allows for more positive seating of the magazine in the gun. Additionally the aluminum construction is more durable than factory plastic basepads making your magazine less prone to breakage upon dropping.

The NicTaylor follower DOES lock the slide open on last shot fired but not like the factory magazine.

Since the button on the factory magazine is removed when installing these high capacity parts, the function of locking the slide open on the last shot fired is lost. That button on the side of the factory magazine is used to actuate the slide lock feature on the gun. The NicTaylor follower is designed to catch the slide itself and thus lock the slide back/open. This technique is used frequently on AR15 22lr conversion kits. However, when doing this the user loses the ability to drop the mag free since the magazine is essentially being stopped from falling free when the mag release is pressed. The user will either have to pull the magazine out or pull the slide back to its most rearward position and manually engage the slide lock. This will allow for the magazine to drop free. For best results when using the NicTaylor follower, we recommend reversing the direction of the magazine spring (see picture). This will help with more positive engagement of the follower and thus locking the slide back.

* NOTE that the GSG Firefly is a copy of the Sig Sauer 22lr Mosquito pistol. The parts on the Mosquito are interchangeable with the GSG Firefly. So no matter if you are buying Sig Mosquito parts or GSG Firefly parts, they will fit both guns.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Remove factory basepad and retainer plate.

2) Remove magazine spring and slide factory follower down to base of magazine so that the load assist pin can be removed from the follower. NOTE: YOU WILL NOT USE THE METAL PIN WITH THE BLUE FOLLOWER

3) Remove factory follower.

4) Insert HiCap follower into the magazine body.

5) Insert magazine spring into magazine body.

6) Compress spring into magazine body and slide on the aluminum basepad. Assure that the spring is in the pocket of the basepad.

7) Finger tighten set screw with the included hex wrench.

Fantastic upgrade had to file the follower slightly to fit the magazine so it would slide up and down freely minor inconvenience I will be ordering another one for my extra magazine love the capacity

Taking a clip from 10 to 16 rounds is a must, less time getting rounds down range. I have 3 clips so that's 18 more rounds before reloading compared to the factory 30 rounds. I only load mine to 15 to match the round count in my 40 but being able to have 17 rounds, 1 in chamber & 16 in clip is amazing.

Took a little tuning on the follower to move freely up and down the mag body, but took a pistol I was never fond of and made it pretty slick! Improved feeding quite noticeably, definitely recommend this! Don hesitate to pick this up!
