This magazine upgrade you will get additional rounds in the factory 10 and 12 round mags. These modifications are not permanent and easily install in minutes. This upgrade will increase your Walther PPQ 22lr pistol magazine's capacity to 15 rounds. With one (1) in the chamber and 15 in the magazine, that's 16 rounds in the gun!

Please note you will not use the metal pin found in the factory follower. Most people use this pin to aid in loading the magazine. If you have the need for a load assist tool we have two options for you. The first uses the hole in the blue follower to push the follower down. You can find it HERE. The second works more like a traditional magazine loader and can be found HERE

PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER
Choose whether or not you want your pistol to lock open on the last shot fired. The original magazine kits were sold with the Shockbottle follower THAT DOES NOT lock the slide open on last shot fired. The NicTaylor follower DOES lock the slide open on last shot fired just like the factory magazine.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

1. Remove factory basepad by depressing the spring retainer tab located at the bottom of the basepad. While depressing the spring retainer, slide off the factory basepad. CAUTION! This magazine spring is under tension and can "spring out" of the magazine tube along with other magazine parts.

2. Remove the factory spring. Remove the load assist button on the side of the factory follower. At this point you will be able to remove the factory follower.

3. Insert the HiViz follower and the included magazine spring.

4. Compress the magazine spring and spring retainer into the magazine tube and slide on the Basepad. Take note of the orientation of the spring retainer so that the side with the single button lines up with the hole in the basepad. The spring retainer will settle itself into the hole in the Basepad and lock it into place.

5 of 5 Walter PPQ 22 Mag Upgrade July 11, 2022
Reviewer: Dallas Peterson from Lake Havasu City, AZ United States
Well, we only have one mag, and have not been successful obtaining more.  I kick myself often for not getting more with the original purchase years ago. This upgrade went very easily and works great, now we don’t have to reload quite as often. The loss of the side button to help with reloading is a non issue.  After manually reloading high capacity magazines for higher calibers, this one is a breeze.  If I ever find more mags I’ll be praying you have more upgrades available.

5 of 5 15 is Better Than 12 August 26, 2021
Reviewer: Steve S. from Newark, DE
The title says it all.  Why have a 12 round magazine when you can have a 15 round one.  I have upgraded both of my magazines with 15 round locking followers and they have worked great feeding all kinds of different ammo brands and grain.
