With the HiCap +4 (Plus 4) follower you can turn your factory 10 round Sig Mosquito magazines into a 14 Round Magazine. With one (1) round in the chamber and 14 in the magazine, that's 15 in the gun! The shorter follower allows for more space in the magazine tube so that it will fit an additional four (4) rounds in the mag.

Since the button on the factory magazine is removed when installing these high capacity parts, the function of locking the slide open on the last shot fired is lost. That button on the side of the factory magazine is used to actuate the slide lock feature on the gun. The NicTaylor follower is designed to catch the slide itself and thus lock the slide back/open. This technique is used frequently on AR15 22lr conversion kits. However, when doing this the user looses the ability to drop the mag free since the magazine is essentially being stopped from falling free when the mag release is pressed. The user will either have to pull the magazine out or pull the slide back to its most rearward position and manually engage the slide lock. This will allow for the magazine to drop free. For best results when using the NicTaylor follower, we recommend reversing the direction of the magazine spring (see picture). This will help with more positive engagement of the follower and thus locking the slide back.

* NOTE that the GSG Firefly is a copy of the Sig Sauer 22lr Mosquito pistol. The parts on the Mosquito are interchangeable with the GSG Firefly. So no matter if you are buying Sig Mosquito parts or GSG Firefly parts, they will fit both guns.

Installation Instructions

RESTRICTIONS

1) Remove factory basepad and retainer plate.

2) Remove magazine spring and slide factory follower down to base of magazine so that the load assist pin can be removed from the follower. NOTE: YOU WILL NOT USE THE METAL PIN WITH THE BLUE FOLLOWER

3) Remove factory follower.

4) Insert HiCap follower into the magazine body.

5) Insert magazine spring into magazine body with coils backwards (see photo).

6) Compress spring with retainer plate into magazine body and slide on the basepad.
