Sig Sauer 226 22LR Last Round Hold Open Follower is a drop-in replacement for the factory follower. This follower locks the slide back on an empty magazine. It does NOT add any additional capacity to the magazine. Use in conjunction with our 15 round conversion plug seen HERE

PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER
The NicTaylor follower is designed to catch the slide itself and thus lock the slide back/open. This technique is used frequently on AR15 22lr conversion kits. However, when doing this the user looses the ability to drop the mag free since the magazine is essentially being stopped from falling free when the mag release is pressed. The user will either have to pull the magazine out or pull the slide back to its most rearward position and manually engage the slide lock. This will allow for the magazine to drop free.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Depress the spring plug that protrudes from the bottom of the basepad and slide off the basepad.

2) Remove the factory spring and spring plug.

3) Remove the factory follower.

4) Insert "locking" follower, magazine spring and spring plug.

5) Compress the spring and spring plug and slide the basepad into place.

This actually locks the slide back so no dry firing a 22lr

absolutely perfect piece to complete the sig p226 .22 conversion kit.  sig should have included one of these in every kit.  if you have a sig p226 .22 conversion slide you have to buy one of these .  fantastic!

Deciding would not fit down the tube, it had to be modified, shave down to get it to fit. Then once it was down the slide hit the top and put grooves in it.
