Decided to pull the pistol apart and to pull the thumb safety off, to my surprise the plunger shot flying across the room never to be found. Order these, had them delivered within a couple days. Plunger fit perfectly without any issues.

This is to replace the one that shot to someplace outside the time space continuum with I removed the left thumb safety. This must be a OEM part. It fit and appears to be the exact same things as original. Expensive but easy to get from this supplier. This is listed as the plunger for the slide release end but I used it for the safety end. Worked fine and fit correctly.
