Our full length guide rod is a simple drop in part for your Hammerli Forge H1 1911-22, 4.25" inch Barrel. Each guide rod comes with a stainless steel spring plug and three (3) replaceable recoil buffers. The stainless steel guide rod is machined from a single piece of stainless steel. The base is slightly thinner than the base on the stock guide rod so that a recoil buffer can be added to help reduce the wear on the slide. The buffers are designed to wear out and will need to be replaced as needed. This guide rod works with factory recoil springs. DOES NOT FIT THE 5.0" VERSION. IF YOU HAVE THE 5.0" VERSION CLICK HERE

4 of 5 Metal Trumps plastic January 14, 2026

I said everything in the title. I have a gun that has a similar weight to a standard 1911 yet it had a plastic guide rod. I know the ammunition it uses isn’t nearly as powerful, but the new one gives me a solid piece of mind
