Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Depress spring plug and turn barrel bushing to release spring plug.

2) Remove spring plug

3) Remove old recoil spring.

4) Compress new recoil spring and insert spring plug and return barrel bushing to original orientation.

I've had my Colt 1911 22LR for several years. its had a couple thousand rounds put through it. While my son, dad and I finished a camping trip i noticed my pistol was loose and rattling. after raking the slide i noticed my plug and spring was missing. it had somehow come out on its own in the woods. there was no way i was going t be able to find it after we had traveled for what seemed like miles. i searched google for my parts and Taylor Tactical was at the top of the list. It was my first time on there web site. i was able to search my pistol and easily find my missing parts. the prices was great and it didn't take long to receive my order. after installing my new plug and spring. i took her outside and give it a run. i guess my original spring was wore out. It feels a lot smoother and shoots tight. thank you Taylor Tactical.

Replaced stock spring which was bent from being used without a guide rod: it was missing from my gun since new!  Worked flawlessly with subsonic and high velocity rounds with a suppressor
