This ingenious screw design replaces the milspec factory grip screw to remove the trigger creep and travel from factory mil-spec triggers in the AR15 and AR10 rifles. The kit comes with two (2) grip screws with internal adjustment screws, two (2) lock washers, two (2) reduced power hammer springs, two (2) reduced power trigger springs and one (1) hex wrench for adjustment of the internal screw. The adjustment screw allows for tweaking the hammer and trigger engagement points to clean up the GI trigger and give you a cleaner trigger pull for increased accuracy. The reduced power springs help reduce the trigger weight for a lighter pull.

Application: The Reduced Power Hammer Spring is intended for competition and recreational use only and should not be installed in any rifle used for defense or duty applications. By reducing the spring tension, the introduction of light strikes or failures to fire due to the lack of primer detonation may occur.

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS

1. The internal set screw comes with thread locker pre-applied but for best results remove the internal screw and apply additional thread locker and re install the set screw inside the large screw. Make sure to screw down the internal screw all the way in so that the tip just protrudes.

2. Remove the factory grip screw and lock washer from the grip of your rifle. Mind the spring and detent for the safety as they may bounce out if you remove the grip completely.

3. With the hammer cocked and the gun on safe, insert the Trigger Adjustment Screw into the grip and tighten the large screw with a 3/16” hex wrench until he pistol grip is secure.

4. Using the included hex wrench, finger tighten the internal screw inside the 3/16” screw until the it stops. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Backout the internal screw 1/4 turn at a time until the safety lever can by actuated. Verify that the trigger, disconnector, hammer and safety function correctly. Let your additional thread locker dry before putting your rifle to use.

5 of 5 Works as advertised April 17, 2024

I bought a couple of these trigger kits and can't recommend them highly enough. Taking the time to fine tune the set screw to eliminate trigger creep probably has a bigger effect on my accuracy than the lighter springs. This kit is a deal compared to some other trigger options I've tried that cost 5 times as much
