5 of 5 Works good & installed easily Friday, July 31, 2026
Reviewer: JAS from Chicago, IL United States
I purchased several of these followers to replace a .22 LR Colt Conversion Kit’s 1950’s pinned magazine base zinc follower which was no longer holding open the slide when empty.  Easy enough to install, just push out the pins in the base from left to right.  The pins are held in place by a spring in base pad and each pin has space in the center of the pin where the spring holds the pin.  Wiggle the zinc bass off from the back.  Remove the spring and there is a space to remove the thumb button.  Drop out the old follower and replace it with the Taylor Tsctical 3D printed one.  I test fired it this weekend and it works great with my 75 year old OEM magazine.  Thanks TT.

5 of 5 Outstanding Service Thursday, May 14, 2026
Reviewer: CJ Everhardt III from Metairie, LA United States
I ordered the newest Colt Ace 1811-22 follower, installed in magazine, went to range and lo and behold it did not function after a short time. I wrote Taylor and they sent me a replacement ASAP. Second one installed and is still working fine. This company stands behind their products. A very service minded company. Will do business with them again

The follower works great only needs minimal filing on the edges so it can move smooth

1 of 5 Poorly made followers Wednesday, November 5, 2025
Reviewer: Michael Duerr from Sanborn, NY United States
The ledge that protrudes from the side of the follower and contacts the slide release lever, to move the release lever up after the last shot, is to small. It should be wider and project out a little more, even if it meant you would have to do a little filing to make it fit. Held the slide open for about 6 rounds, then stopped.

5 of 5 Perfect replacement follower! Sunday, July 10, 2022
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Layton, UT United States
This is the second follower I have purchased to replace Colt.22 mag followers that would not lock the slide back. Installing the Taylor Tactical follwers returned the magazines to perfect function.

5 of 5 Colt 1911 to 22lr conversion replacement magazine Monday, June 6, 2022
Reviewer: Jake Lalley from Solana Beach, CA United States
All the typical operations of commerce were excellent: Clear description on website, reasonable price, quick and reasonable shipping.
Tha part itself seems to be identical to the vintage one I have, but of course mine is missing some material at that critical spot where the follower tips up tha slide stop. Still working on overall function, because it is also dependent on slide stop shape, and clearance of slide stop shaft thru the frame for smooth operation with no binding.

5 of 5 Outstanding Replacement for COLT SERVICE MODEL ACE Saturday, January 22, 2022
Reviewer: Dennis from SoCal
Let’s face it.  If you have a used COLT  SERVICE MODEL ACE magazine, the follower “Hold Open On Last Shot” tab is probably beaten to heck or sheared off altogether.  You NEED this replacement if you hope to restore hold open after last shot.  I successfully replaced both OEM plastic and gov’t contract aluminum followers with this follower. You need THIS replacement follower, not the ones intended for GSM .22 M1911 mags.  You may also need a replacement spring, but confirm with Taylor which (if any) of their .22 springs fit OEM Colt Service ACE mags before buying.
NOTE: The thing that most often wrecks COLT SERVICE ACE follower hold open followers is ramming an EMPTY magazine in the pistol with the slide forward….  So try not to do that…
