Colt 1911-22 Full Length Guide Rod & Recoil Spring April 19, 2024 Reviewer: John from Northeast Ohio   Have a Walther Colt 1911 Railgun was shooting bad groups with all different types of ammo. I was close to calling Walther about the accuracy of the gun. I purchased & installed these 2 products & now is shooting as good as my other 3 target 22 pistols. The right part solves an annoying problem. February 13, 2024 Reviewer: Hank 51 from Houston, TX United States   My Colt Walther 1911 22LR slide would lock back after every shot.  Replaced the spring and magazine. Same problem.  Then I tried the Taylor Tactical full length guide rod.  BINGO. No more problem.  Full functions, and I believe that it made it more accurate or me so. Must Have Upgrade January 25, 2024 Reviewer: James Schaefer from Dallas, TX   If you own a Colt .22LR pistol, you need to buy this item for the gun. it stiffens up the slide which increases accuracy. Great product January 23, 2024 Reviewer: Anthony Hall from McMinnville, TN United States   The longer guide rod may prevent the recoil spring from getting tangled up inside the gun. Needs polishing January 18, 2024 Reviewer: LeRoy Bulkley from Safford, AZ United States   Before installing I noticed the rough surface on the guide rod, it actually made a zipper-like noise when  running the plug up and down it. Installed and immediately ghad cycling problems. Could feel the friction when cycling by hand. Polished the rod and plug with valve compound and leather, removed sharp edge at tip of rod. Now everything works fine. no noticable improvement in accuracy though, and doesn't really feel much different. I do like getting rid of that pot metal guide rod that was in there though.
