Our full length guide helps with reliability in a way no other competitors parts do. Not only does the full length rod alleviate spring bind that can occur with the shorter factory guide rod, but the aluminum base on ours has been modified from factory specs to give the slide more rearward movement. The added movement allows the slide to travel farther rearward allowing for more reliable feeding from the magazine. In addition the included reduced weight recoil spring should help cycle cheap bulk ammo known to have lesser energy. Also included is a stainless steel spring plug to add some bling to your gat. Each Recoil System comes with one (1) recoil shock buffer, one (1) reduced weight recoil spring and one (1) stainless steel full length guide rod and one (1) stainless steel spring plug. NOTE: WILL NOT FIT THE 922 VERSION!

Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Disassembly pistol and remove guide rod, Spring and factory buffer (You will not use any factory buffers/washers)

2) Insert the included Recoil Shock Buffer over the end of guide rod

3) Reassemble pistol taking note of Horseshoe orientation of Recoil Shock Buffer so that it faces the barrel

4) Reassemble using the included recoil spring

The enhanced recoil system and spring plug  is a great upgrade to my gun.  The operation of the guide rod is smooth and the slide function/operation is greatly enhanced. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that uses the GSG 1911 -22LR. All the items that I have purchased from Taylor Tactical are 100% in quality and at a great value.

Nice modification to enhance recoil and add some SS looks to my GSG Mauser 1911 .22LR pistol....  SUGGESTION:  Make a SS bushing for the same pistol

Was having cycling issues with factory recoil system installed Taylor Enhanced Recoil System Kit and issues were eliminated. Easy installation and you eliminate another plastic part! Gun cycles perfectly would recommend!
