The followers worked flawlessly in my older mags. I purchased two new mags from Sig and ran into a little issue. Maybe my older mags are a bit more worn, but the followers jammed inside the new mags when inserted into the end of the spring. The follower moved smoothly by itself and the spring also was free to move without the follower. Additionally, there was no resistance to installing the end of the follower into the spring. I finally figured out that the flat surface of the follower that runs down the outside of the spring is a little too close to the centerline of the spring, such that when the follower is installed in the spring in the bore in the mag, the spring is forced against the front of the bore and the follower is forced against the rear. Removing enough material with some sandpaper from the flat surface so that the spring cannot contact it when pushed towards the rear of the mag made it work smooth as silk.
