If you have bought one of our High Capacity magazine kits in the past that contained the Shockbottle follower, you know that the Shockbottle follower does not allow for the slide lock to engage on the firearm. The NicTaylor follower is an option for those who have purchased these kits in the past and want their gun to lock open on the last shot fired. The NicTaylor follower is designed to lock the slide back on an empty magazine just like the factory magazine. This follower will only work with our spring kits and NOT the factory spring. If you do not have one of our high capacity magazine kits, this follower is NOT for you.

Please note that with this follower, you will only get 15 rounds in our 16 rounds upgrade kits seen HERE. Also, in our 16 round kit with basepad seen HERE, you will only get 16 rounds in the mag. This is due to the design changes made in order to get the follower to actuate the slide lock on the 1911 pistol. Remember, we are the only ones selling magwells and basepads for the Colt 1911-22lr!

The follower is better made than those that come in most aftermarket mags such as Triple K.  However, for my original Colt Conversion kit on an original Military Government Colt 1911 the guide groove was not cut into the follower.  So I was unable to use these followers as received.  I will attempt to either cut the guide groove or try to sand cast one out of aluminum from a Colt original. It is a learning experience with these older Colts and kits!
