Perfect replacement follower! Colt 1911 to 22lr conversion replacement magazine June 6, 2022 Reviewer: Jake Lalley from Solana Beach, CA United States   All the typical operations of commerce were excellent: Clear description on website, reasonable price, quick and reasonable shipping. Tha part itself seems to be identical to the vintage one I have, but of course mine is missing some material at that critical spot where the follower tips up tha slide stop. Still working on overall function, because it is also dependent on slide stop shape, and clearance of slide stop shaft thru the frame for smooth operation with no binding. Outstanding Replacement for COLT SERVICE MODEL ACE January 22, 2022 Reviewer: Dennis from SoCal   Let’s face it.  If you have a used COLT  SERVICE MODEL ACE magazine, the follower “Hold Open On Last Shot” tab is probably beaten to heck or sheared off altogether.  You NEED this replacement if you hope to restore hold open after last shot.  I successfully replaced both OEM plastic and gov’t contract aluminum followers with this follower. You need THIS replacement follower, not the ones intended for GSM .22 M1911 mags.  You may also need a replacement spring, but confirm with Taylor which (if any) of their .22 springs fit OEM Colt Service ACE mags before buying.   NOTE: The thing that most often wrecks COLT SERVICE ACE follower hold open followers is ramming an EMPTY magazine in the pistol with the slide forward….  So try not to do that… Was this review helpful to you?
