Installation Instructions RESTRICTIONS
 

1) Depress spring plug and turn barrel bushing to release spring plug.

2) Remove spring plug

3) Remove old recoil spring.

4) Compress new recoil spring and insert spring plug and return barrel bushing to original orientation.

If you had a telephone number, an email address, or even some sort of help desk, it would have been better for all concerned. If I had been able to ask a question, I would have ordered two complete sets of guide rods and springs. Also,(if I had been able to speak with someone) when I ordered the recoil springs I tried to order another guide rod, but the fine print said "out of stock" and asked if I wanted to be notified when back. With a bit of communication, I probably would have found out that it was expected in the next day! So, of course I would have waited and had the whole order shipped together. Instead, three packages, and three shipping charges in order to accomplish what could have been done the first day.

The recoil spring I received was a perfect fit as advertised on your site. It brought new life, or back to life, the 1911 colt 22lr. The old spring, somehow got tangled inside the gun. Tried to get kinks and bends out but I could only do so much, the gun wouldn't cycle. It does now...thanks for having the part and an easy web site to maneuver thru.
